Colour may not be the focus in this HDB flat home, but the designers from Van Hus Interior Design found ways to inject personality and style into its interiors.
For their new flat, located in Punggol, the homeowners wanted a modern home that is kept simple, but comfortable. The designers infused the home with a contemporary look, with a touch of industrial style. Dark and light tones are balanced, for interesting interiors that play up linear forms. In order to keep the look of the home clean, the space was thoughtfully planned out beforehand as well.
In the living area, a black faux brick wall gives a masculine feel to the airy space, while wood-look vinyl flooring adds warmth. The kitchen exudes a sense of timelessness, with a monochromatic palette, in keeping with the look of the rest of the home.
As for the bedroom, space is zoned into a sleeping area and dressing area. A spacious dressing area is created with customised built-in carpentry, finished in neutral-toned laminate for a chic look.
Even the bathroom was not spared of attention to detail. Mood created through simple, accent lighting brings out a plush appeal.
