A vessel for the homeowner’s cherished collection of cool objects, this resale flat features a striking black and white colour scheme that complements the eclectic shapes and forms within the home. The addition of a whimsical Gubi Pacha Sofa and soft white rug lend warmth to the dark floors and cabinetry.
Non-structural walls were demolished to redefine the layout of the four-room flat, accommodating the needs of the homeowner and her pets. By keeping the configuration open, the home remains flexible to personal needs while allowing the owner to occasionally host and entertain. The monochromatic theme is balanced with various artistic objects and designer lamps from VIPP that lend character.
In the kitchen, smooth matte black carpentry meets sleek stainless steel and black marble countertops, juxtaposing the rough cement wall finish to create a raw yet refined look that is understatedly grand – a dream space for the homeowner to spend her free time baking and experimenting with recipes.
In the bathroom, a tapestry of rectangular mosaic tiles lend depth and texture to the modest space. A palette of soothing grey tones establishes a calm atmosphere, providing an ideal canvas for playful details such as an exposed bulb.
