“The homeowners were keen on a modern executive concept for their home,” recalls the SPIRE design team. To turn this inter-terrace house into a smart and luxe looking residence, the designers carefully selected a combination of contrasting dark and light neutral colours, with woodgrains, marbled patterns and reflective surfaces enhancing the sense of luxury and elegance in the spaces.
The area around the staircase has been cleverly maximised, with the designers creating a custom bar counter complete with chiller units in this space so the homeowners can easily enjoy a drink or entertain guests in their living area. An open-plan kitchen with counter seating extends the elegant dining space and affords the home with more room for entertaining.
To make the most effective use of the study, the designers from SPIRE created a customised study table that can be moved to accommodate guests when needed. “The L-shaped table can be swivelled to its left to make way for guests when they stay over, and in this way, the study can be converted into a guest room,” explains the designers.
In the master bedroom, the designers have created an exceedingly spacious and hotel-worthy en-suite bathroom, complete with a bathtub and his-and-hers sinks, by combining two bathrooms into one. A clear glass wall panel separates this area from the bedroom, further enhancing the sense of space.
As for the walk-in wardrobe, it’s equally spacious and even comes with a display island to house keepsakes.
The bedroom enjoys a dark and elegant colour scheme. Subtle textures are played up on the feature wall thanks to choice of wallpaper, while the customised bedside tables have been designed to match the bed and stand out beautifully against the dark backdrop.
